Not as functional as other methods, as you constantly waiting to change between users You now have two copies of d2:r running, and can switch between them by changing your user account. go back to your primary user and launch d2:r using your primary account Log into your next battle net account, and you'll be able to launch d2:r once you have logged in, you can copy the battle net launcher and d2:r files over to a new directory e.g. You can then log into that user without logging out of your primary user account In windows, you can have more than one user - you can add another user via the control panel Method 1 (Simplest but not as nice as others): Multiple Windows User Accounts I have a RTX3080 and my utilisation is sub 10% for two instances (with a 60fps frame rate cap) - however I have seen some (same tier) AMD cards consume near 100% on a single instance. GPU: You probably want a decent GPU to run more than two copies. Ram: I run with 32gb of ram, and the two copies of D2R running on my machine make my ram usage go to ~20gb - my second instance consumes ~6gb of ram (including the VM resources) - I say a rough rule of thumb is ~6-8gb of ram per instance. If you want to run 2 games, you'll need 2 keys. Buy as many copies of d2:r as you want - you'll need one per client. Avoid using tools like auto hot key, or any tool that will let you duplicate inputs across games, and obviously avoid botting. If you're like me, and just want to have another account to boost yourself or have another char in the game to increase player count, then this is perfectly fine. It is the botting and single-input-multi-output scripting that is against TOS. I'll update this post if I find any more.Ī quick PSA: multiboxing / multi instances will NOT get you banned and is not against TOS.
